Vrtáci, krásný deštivý Tuesday vám všem!
Such weather is so typical for England, the land of Henry, Luna and Tonka. 🙂
What do you do in this weather? Sometimes it is just best to sit and talk, as they did…
When she noticed he was watching her, she looked at him and nudged him.
“Hey, what are you staring at?”
“Nothing, I was just thinking. Do you want gin? You look cold.” “Yep.”
She took a sip from the bottle and chuckled. He smiled and she pierced him with her eyes and frowned. “Oh, come on. Don’t frown, it doesn’t suit you,” Henry said and took a sip from the bottle and put it next to the bench. She rested her head on his shoulder and wrapped herself in the blanket.
“So, what have you been doing for the last four years?” Luna asked Henry.
“That’s a long story,” he replied. “And I have a plenty of time. I’m not going anywhere yet,” Luna said. That’s good, Henry thought. “Okay. But you’ll take a sip for every question.” “I am afraid you’re running out of gin.” “We’ll see,” Henry said. They talked a lot. Neither of them was aware of time. They just sat there, talking and drinking. The fire was almost out when he felt Luna slipped off his shoulder.
I can’t even tell you how much I’ve missed you. He gently picked her up and carried her to his bed in his arms. He removed her glasses off her face and shoes and covered her with the blanket. He turned around and saw Tonka sitting in the chair. “Oh. I’m sorry I didn’t give you food and drink, I’ll do it now.” He took her bowl and went to the well. He already knew the way by heart. As he was scooping water, his foot slipped, and he fell into the water. “Really? Oh, sh**. Every good deed must be deservedly punished.”
to be continued…
