CHAPTER V. – Part I.
She looked at him and her expression changed completely. She suddenly looked like the happiest person in the world. Well, now – off we go. Three, two, one. He was right. She began beating him on the head with a rolled-up newspaper in her hand.
“Can you explain to me why you didn’t write to me in 4 years? You’ve never written me a stupid email, even though you read mines! And you also threw away your old SIM card so that no one could call you. What the hell did you think? Come on! Will you finally answer me or will you hide somewhere again?!”
“Really?! Do you know in what a bad state I was when my grandmother died? You weren’t even there! If you had come back, probably I wouldn’t have been hiding!”
“Do you really think I didn’t try? Some smart guy chucked away his SIM card so that I couldn’t even call him.“
They didn’t know what to say, they just stood there for a moment, breathing heavily. „Would you like some coffee?“ Henry asked. „Here? You know how much I hate the slurries sold in stalls.” “Maybe I’ve got some coffee at home. “ „Okay, so you’re living somewhere here?“ „No, I live in the woods not far from the city where you sold your accordion. By the way, how much did you sell it for?” „For 75 pounds. So, wait a second, how did you get here, and how come you have my accordion?” she said as she scratched the back of her neck. “I’ve got a motorbike. You know well how I have always wanted it, so when I came here, I bought one. It’s not much, but I think it’s nice.“ „I hope you don’t expect me to sit with you on a chainsaw with two wheels. After all, bikers are organ donors. Anyway, do you have a second helmet?” „Well, not really. But don’t worry, I’ve got a sidecar motorcycle. Damn it, Tonka.”
„Somebody I should know about?“ she asked with a frown on her face.
